How It Works
Upload the document from your device or paste a URL. The PDF opens in the editor workspace.
In the signature pad panel on the right side, draw your signature using your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen stylus. Take your time — you can clear and redo it as many times as needed.
Select the Signature tool from the page canvas toolbar, then click the spot on the page where the signature should appear. The drawn signature image is stamped at that location.
Drag the signature to the exact spot. Use the property panel to adjust width and height numerically to match the signature line.
Click Download. The exported PDF contains your signature image embedded at the correct page position.
When a Drawn Signature Is the Right Tool
Drawn signatures are the right approach for a wide range of everyday documents. Not everything requires a formal e-signature service with an audit trail, timestamping, and identity verification. Those services exist for high-stakes contracts and compliance-sensitive documents — but most PDFs that cross your desk do not fall into that category.
A drawn signature placed with this tool is appropriate for internal HR acknowledgement forms, lease renewal initials when your landlord accepts a signed PDF scan, offer letter acceptance copies for your own records, signed permission slips and consent forms, cover letters submitted with a job application, and informal agreements between individuals who trust each other.
One note on scope: this tool creates a bitmap image of your drawn signature, not a cryptographic digital signature. It does not generate an audit trail, signer identity record, or tamper-evident seal. For documents where legal enforceability of the electronic signature must be provable — commercial contracts, financial agreements, notarized documents — a dedicated e-signature service with identity verification and audit trail features is the appropriate choice. For everything else, a drawn signature in the right place is exactly what the situation calls for.
